What ever happened to Les Brown? The motivational speaker who is a self made man who promised his mama that one day he would buy her a house. Well that day came and she was getting up in her years, but he bought her that house. A big beautiful fenced two story brick house with lots of property. He surprised her one day - took her there and said mama I bought you that house. That dream house. All those years of working and and the first thing she said to him was “I’m old I can’t climb those stair what were you thinking? The smile left his face and went right to the ground. all the hard work to make mamas dream come true were dreams she had years and years earlier they weren’t her dreams they were his dreams and yet to this day every time I think of the past and what is coming in the future I think of Les Brown talking about a pity party. He used to always say that at least the tape I used to listen to everybody and anybody can give you a pity party the things he used to say and the way he used to put them. It was a beautiful thing I used to pop in that tape every morning and watch it again and again when I was getting down or depressed and What ever happened to Les Brown that is one man who can teach every single one of us something. There is always someone who wants the give you a pity party and be a part of your pity party but that is one man that didn’t look for a pity party. He stayed away from all the pitiful in the world. Kind of like Michael Jackson, one of his best, “Start with the man in the mirror.” Look at yourself! Look at yourself first. Start with you. You want to change the world. Good luck. You want to be a politician, good luck. You want to be whatever you want to be – good luck. You want to change the world, you ought to start with you. What is in your brain you want the pity party or I can do anything. What did your mother leave you with? Did she leave you with at pity party or you can do anything?

It’s a shame we don’ t have something I would like to call the lie law. I would call it the lie law because all professionals lawyers, judges, etc and are held to a higher standard that is above and beyond their jobs they have business ethics they are held to it’s a shame that politicians don’t have the same restrictions on them so I would like to introduce the idea of a lie law. Any politician from the city council all the way up to the President should be held to a higher standard. To be held accountable - on the fact that they run on something and then change their mind when they are in office. That would be considered a lie and the next person with the next highest amount of votes would take that office. It would turn the amazing political agenda from special interest on their head. No longer can a politician be bought and paid for. He cannot run on one thing and then get into office and switch his ideals that would be a lie thus destroying the unscrupulous ethics of politicians Something to ponder.

Never Ever Give up - Do something

Teach your dog
Can’t write no blog
I’m glued to this chair my canvas not so bare
But I can’t go forward
Just waiting on a storyboard my client
Wit h no clue blowing my mojo too
Un be known to him I have others to begin
Itching to begin I call him again and again
Now I’m getting bored as stone
Cause my times being blown
What ever can I say
He’s my next payday so patience
Running thin want to paint for him again and again
So I’ll get a clue That’s what I’’ll do
with patience being a virtue
I’ll figure out what to do
Someday I’ll write the rest
But for now it’s my best
So this will have to do for now
Oh Holy cow
I get it I got it I know what to do
I’ll go teach my Tina something new.

Who are you? Who? Who? Who? Who?

Who could be listening to my garble? One thins for sure – someone’s out there. Not that I didn’t think there were but its amazing how fast one gets heard. It truly is a new age from wince I grew up.

Where you’re lucky if your neighbors got wind of your misgivings and you heard it third hand. Now in a new age of what a few years ago would have been impossible, our own decision should be who to or who not to offend so help me God.
Or even better yet, who cares. It’s sad when someone close to me tells me not to be political or religious. It will ruin your future. Just think of it, finally since our beginning our fore fathers, when our free speech where, finally we as a nation can speak freely to one another. The one thing able to change our world not be pinball wizards or mind roaming robots. Well sorry for me at least this freedom is a real blessing an artistic outlet I can enjoy. A release of built up blisters but seriously, I don’t believe that our new found freedom should be silenced. Imagine if everyone voted not just 30% of our voter population but 100% voted. How would our world change? These futuristic possibilities can change our world for the better. Where you find like minds and Where you find friends, understanding and even conflicts of opinions. Its where you can find the true meaning of all that brings us together or tears us apart making us and them into We the people once again. With the power and the freedom that our Constitution assures us at our founding, realizing that our blogs cross al racial divides. Simply, that our life experiences are more together than apart. I’m wondering when Life is a Box of Chocolates going to be offensive to someone and deemed politically incorrect. Political incorrectness is an fancy word for C E N C O R S H I P deemed only to stop us ( the public) from saying what might offend someone will be deemed you can’t say that any longer . It’s no longer acceptable. To say those things This slippery slope has already turned into an avalanche of groups jumping on that bandwagon. But thank God that they have not been able to touch the arts. Whether it be music, or paintings, our sovereignty still is untouchable but our big brother has told NEA the National Endowments for the Arts, that in it, the members paint him in a pleasant and happy light, or they will lose their funding. Government grants will no longer be given to the arts. If that is not censorship, I don’t know what is.

HE WILL SAVE ME
He has saved me from my dad
He has saved me from my past
He has saved me from my worst enemies
He has saved me from the anguish of loss
He has saved me from three cheating women
He has saved me from three time abandonment
He has saved me from the condemnation of others
He saves me from the hatred of others
He has saved me from the pit of self despair
He has saved me from suicide of my own life
But He hasn’t saved me from myself
He hasn’t saved me from the evil of others

FAME

A feeble attempt to memorialize expectations of one’s self worth can be only describe as a feeble attempt in being accepted as a person of value to the whole of humanity. That your life somehow has a greater meaning than who you are or what you leave behind. The mothers of the world who receive no accolades other than the day of the funeral, their sacrifice will be measured by the children she raised who will once grow up to be the men and women of our future. It’s a shame about the assault on the mothers of all our existence. Our real heroes are the ones who give it, protect it, nurture it, teach it, guide it, then set it free..

God bless our mothers and all they have done for our salvation.

gET OUT AND vOTE!! iF YOU ARE NOT A REGISTERED vOTER, rEGISTER TO vOTE.

Self Worth

Doesn't it seem that only a$$ holes have one and that pucker butts have their place. Maybe that is why some are looking for beano! I say this because I have not been introduced to the a$$ who rides his little bicycle past my home as he yells "Go Home!" or "Get Out!" Even "Get Lost!"

I have come to the conclusion that it must be some conservative hack that thinks we are liberals. Is it simply because we live in a motor home in a state park where we stay during the day. Just like so many others who by choice, do so. Also our income comes from selling art, local part time work, and what comes our way by our friends and word of mouth.

We pull ourselve up out of the muck and mire of unsolicited bull from a loud mouth. An uninformed pucker butt. We think this "drive by" wearing tights is just another spoon fed liberal that plants their a$$ afoot of all occupied whiners who feel the need to atone for their lack of self worth. Is it because they never did a thing on their own? He may feel like this is HIS beach and it is being invaded by some undeserving trailer trash and that I don't belong here.

Well my unintroduced drive by the reality is that I have been working since the age of ten. I peeled 50 lb sacks of potatoes for my father's restaurant. I pulled weeds at his bar and chopped wood for the fireplace in his bar.

At 14, I was put in the Masonic Home for Children in Covina. My first job out of high school was as a chef. Yes I was a full fledged chef at 18! I learned a lot working in the kitchen for 4 years at the Masonic Home for Children. I was an SPD Tech at Queen of the Valley Hospital. I joined the United States Navy.
I worked at my uncle's business dumping steel metal shavings for the machinists, I worked for Glass Emporium in El Monte. Had a career in the glazing industry for over 30 years and that includes having my own business which I built from the ground up. All this and my love of art never waned.

It has never left me and my dream of living at the beach in a motor home is one I have had since a child. My grandfather's home in Victoria Beach is steps from the ocean. He always took me to the art shows and Pageant of the Masters because I loved art so much. I've seen film of me in diapers on Victoria Beach!

So HeRe I SIT ain't gonna quit
My art is a Big hit
I will come and go As I see fit
Your views don't bother me one little bit

My art tells the real story
Something you can't behold because
First, your mind you must unfold

As I strike this match you'll be gone
Like a zepplin I once saw, you'll get lock jaw

At a time you had the power
and I was annoyed at that hour
but now I'm good in my place where you
cannot show your face.

So do your little speedo drive by and
Yell out loud and clear so that God and
everyone can hear

That little speedo driveby needs an ear

Its a shame little speedo driveby that you have so
much time your parents left you behind \ raised to think
that your little speedo a$$ don't stink

Well I beg to differ
with that little speedo drive by my
dogs nose gets stiffer

Tina is a real judge of character\
When the little speedo driveby blazing thru
like the speed of sound
Tina wants to turn into a speedo chasin hound.
Instead, she lets him go by
She knows its just another speedo drive by.

Don't YOU do that

What happened to all of us we’ve seemed to have changed from we can do anything as an individual or country to say what is on you mind and the political correctness of what you say. It seems that our free speech is being curtailed or controlled by others opinions. Because they are offended by our thinking our output of thought our opinions, instead it is no don’t think that. That thinking is wrong. That thinking might offend someone. IN the Berry Decision, it was illegal for an artist to sell their art on the streets of New York City. The United States Supreme Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the artists on all arguments. In the 11 page document, they state that art is a language that universal.

Like the street sign that is a picture of a bike for a bike lane. No matter what language you speak, you know what that lane is for.

When does the offensive become a right to offend others by what they think? It’s their opinion to have. We all have one. The difference between offending someone or not is raising it or not. Didn’t you ever hear “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say naything at all.” That today unfortunately, is not the case. Only because these days Silence is not golden. The LORD says “ Judge not, lest ye be judged.” If no one knows you personally they can’t judge you. The visible strive to be invisible so they can’t be judged. Now, with our social power of being faceless, anonymous like Facebook, Twitter, etc, and the drive bys the ole hit and run what used to be Do unto others as you would have then do unto you has unfortunately turned into I can do anything because I can and there is nothing you can do about it. This personal power that makes one seem to have control over others is in time going to backfire on them because when they try to recruit others to have the same opinion about you the will run into others that aren’t followers. They can think for themselves. They are independent thinkers, not sheep led to the slaughter. The Stupid think their opinions don’t matter to others because others don’t have their own. The Smart know that silence is golden. That an opinionated blabbermouth is just that -Blah Blah Blah . Sounds like the sheep to me.

When I heard fly with the eagles or swim with the fishes, I asked, “Is that about being above it all?” Is it our symbol of the powerful feeding on the schools of fish? It isn’t what comes to mind. But when we see the astounding beauty of an eagle swooping down and so gracefully clawing a fish out of the water some will still only think of the agony of the fish torn away from its environment, ripped with claws not flying through the are to be eaten.

Do we teach our children to see the beauty of the grace of the eagle or the torture of the fish? Or do we teach them they cycle of life and that the eagle only kills what it eats and that some fish never get eaten. Man may have learned how the fish by watching the eagle. What we teach or children is what our future is determined to be. Maybe I’m the fish teaching them about eagles or I’m the eagle teaching them about fish. If I’m the eagle the eagle I’m teaching them about which fish to eat, what time of day is best, etc, If I’m the fish, I’m teaching them there is safety in numbers, “Don’t go near the surface.”

Our human condition does not stop at human nature. What we’ve been taught or what we have learned on our own What we have experienced in life is what we contribute to our future and to the future of all mankind. When we lose the ability to filter out the ridiculous, blah, blah, blah we lose the ability to cope with ourselves.

The day after Christmas I lost my mother. At the gravesite, I put my carnation on her and said, “ You’ve done right by me.” What I was taught by her was that if you want to be the fish, be the fish. If you want to be the eagle, be the eagle that my life is what I make it and that no one can take away from me.

PS She raised three of us with no child support working two and three jobs never taking any help from anyone.

Job well done mom..

Love
